Professor Riqiang Yan serves as a Full Professor and Chair at the Department of Neuroscience, University of Connecticut Health in Farmington, USA. He also was elected member of the Connecticut Academy of Science and Technology, and William Beecher Scoville Professor in Neuroscience, University of Connecticut. The Yan lab focuses on the study of how Alzheimer’s disease (AD) patients develop the pathologies in their brains and explores therapeutic treatment for this most common neurodegenerative disease. Prof. Yan has published more than 60 articles. He has published his research work in internationally renowned journals such as Nature Reviews Neurology, Circulation, Biological psychiatry, PNAS etc. Prof. Yan received the MetLife Award for Medical Research (the most prestigious award for Alzheimer’s Research) from MetLife Foundation, and Award for Outstanding Science from Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He also received various funding from NIH, NIA and AFAR.
